historia de la banda
en el año 2000 con la idea de grabar unos temas, max llama a unos músicos amigos y comienzan a trabajar en este proyecto.
aun no existía la idea de formar un grupo y a partir de esto surgió la necesidad de formar una banda y tocar.
para fines de ese año, ensayando y con un grupo conformado se termina una preproducción de 4 temas, el material llevaría el nombre de la banda “zake”.
la música era una mezcla de los ritmos funk y la música latina afrocubana y afrobrasilera.
continuando con los ensayos y luego de poco más de un año, el 27 de septiembre del 2002, la banda toca por primera vez en “el andén”, un sótano ubicado en la calle chile en el barrio de san telmo.
entre los años 2003 y 2004 tocan en diversos pubs de buenos aires, haciendo una base en el “c.o.d.o” en el barrio de palermo.
el 2005 es un año de muchos cambios en el grupo, tanto artísticos como de músicos.
paran de tocar en vivo y se encierran en un estudio a grabar y producir una música diferente con el reggae como base sólida de sus canciones.
el resultado de esta nueva etapa que la banda atraviesa se ve con un single que luego seria parte de su disco.
el single se llama “i wanna”.
con cambios en su música y una nueva idea de banda, ingresan al grupo viejos amigos músicos los cuales venían de diferentes proyectos.
este momento es un giro importantísimo en la banda ya que con un grupo de excelentes músicos y fundamentalmente humano, las canciones y el nuevo concepto no tardan en aparecer.
en el 2006 ensayando y preproduciendo, las canciones fluían rápidamente.
entran al estudio “el zoológico”, y graban lo que es en realidad su primer disco.
en el 2007 sale “ritmo interno”, primer material discográfico de la banda en donde el reggae y el rock son el eje musical de este trabajo.

during the year 2000, thinking about recording some own songs, max called a few friends and so they started to work on this project.
at the beginning, there was no idea to form a band, it was since then that such need has aroused, to play together as a group.
by the end of that year, with the band already structured and on a practice routine, a four-track preproduction was released.
this material took the name of the band “zake”.
the music was a mixture of funk rhythms and latin, afrocuban as afrobrazilian music.
still practicing, and later after a year, on september 27th 2002, the band performed for the first time at “el andén”, a basement placed at chile street in san telmo neighborhood.
during 2003 and 2004, the band has played in different bars at buenos aires, mainly in “el c.o.d.o.”, a bar placed in palermo neighborhood.
a lot of changes occurred during 2005, referring to the band members as well as to artistic changes. they stopped alive playing, and locked up to record and to produce a different music, new songs basically based on reggae music.
as a result of this new stage on the band history, a single was released, which later would be a part of their record.
the single is called “i wanna”.
utterly immersed in the reggae music, after various changes made on their music and a new concept of the band, some old musician friends that were at that time working on different projects, became part of the band.
this was a very important turn for the band, since thanks to this new group of excellent musicians with very good human quality, beautiful songs and a new concept didn’t take a long time to appear.
during 2006 the band practiced very hard, and seeing that a lot of new songs flowed quickly, they decided to get into “el zoológico” studio to make zake’s first record.
in 2007 “ritmo interno” was released, zake’s first discography material where reggae rhythms and rock music are central to this work.
