artist story:
gallywampus is a danish band that plays irish and american folk music at full throttle. gallywampus performs at all possible events, such as festivals, pubs, town fests, weddings and parties of all kinds, and where ever people need a lively gang of musicians.
the gallywampus songbook is about sinking ships, streams of whiskey, naughty wenches, brave soldiers and lecherous sergeants, dirty old towns, careless love, bloody defeats, wakes and dancing skeletons in the closet, more sinking ships etc. etc., and when all this madness is becoming just a little too much, a couple of foot stomping reels and hornpipes are likely to slip out of the bag.
