artist story:
astray path stands for sophisticated and well thought-out music. the band combines melancholy melodies, harmonic piano passages and hard guitar riffs. the five musicians integrate elements from gothic, rock and classical music in their performances. the lyrics harmonize with the music by expressing thoughts, feelings and dreams. the classically trained singing voice of kathrin gives astray path its special character. her strong and thrilling vocal sound outshines the insrumental music in a unique way. the guitar passages, both powerful and classical, are played masterfully by robert and complemented by simon’s keyboard sounds, sometimes dreamy, sometimes virtuoso. the many rhythmic variations from drummer wolfgang and dora’s creative bass lines provide a stable foundation for the music. |
